Because Five Minutes Early Is On Time

Thank you Lisa for doing the serious work of reminding us all that
Five Minutes Early Is On Time

And if anyone needs any help with making sure that you can get to where you need to be on time
Beladora.com is just beginning to feature vintage timepieces and clocks.

And right now I'm liking this watch

Do you still wear a watch or do you depend on the clock on your cell phone?

Around (another) Town - Lunch With Lisa at the Left Bank

It was a special privilege indeed to have spent the weekend in beautiful Palo Alto and to have had the opportunity to meet the lovely Lisa for lunch at a charming brasserie, the Left Bank in Menlo Park.

Lisa, bloggeress extraordinaire, was just as stylish, intelligent, thoughtful and downright pretty as I expected her to be, especially after getting to know her online by reading all of her posts on Amid Privilege.

Oh...and as for her archetype...she didn't strike me at all as a Sturdy Gal...I found her to be what I would call dressed down Grande Dame....which to me means educated, understated and elegant.

If you aren't reading her blog, you need to be. She can really write.

And...while not a tweeter myself....I'm tempted to sign up just to read her tweets!

How To Do High-Low Style - The Privileged Way

What we've been waiting for, the images from the Lavish Conference.
This lovely lady knows how to put it all together in the BHB high-low way
and she looks sensational.
I love the way that she can pair a very reasonably priced dress from Zappos ($138)

with some exquisite estate pearl jewelry from Beladora.com (also reasonably priced but not $138)

And I love the way that she effortly mixes classic vintage pieces with the ultra modern.

Note how the Art Deco diamond brooch in platinum, a family piece from her grandmother, was incorporated with a modern yellow gold wide cuff.
It takes a special level of taste to be able to see the possibilities of pairing that classy diamond cuff with the ultra modern cognac and white diamond earrings by Stefan Hafner from Beladora.com.

So go to her blog now and tell her how fab she looks.
No really, I mean it, right now!

I also just want to make an additional comment.
Her jewelry photography is practically on the professional level.
(Do you think that she would agree to an internship at Beladora?)
